> For conducting environmental based activities amongst students and community.
> For initiating measures for the upliftment of the downtrodden masses living in rural areas.
ABOUT
We, a group of individuals inspired by environmentalists and social welfare activists have started a welfare club (Humane league) which initiates the student community to actively participate in environmental and social welfare based activities, thereby improving our society and ultimately all our human beings will have a harmonious and happy living on the planet.To renew the social ecosystem and re-structure the humane by empowering the society is the vision of the club.The mission of the club is to enlighten the people for the development of the society and the environment.Creating awareness about the environment and reforming social structures are the objectives of the club.The activities of the club are headed by the patronage of Shri. P.S. Velusamy, Chairman, SSM Groups and Shri. C. Kandasamy, Secretary, SSM Groups, Shri. K. Shanmugavel and Shri. K. Sivaraj, Executive Directors, SSM Groups.The Club is guided by Dr. R. Chandran Campus Director, SSMIET and Dr. M. Saravanan, Principal, SSMIET. Dr. N. Sampathkumar, Head, Department of Chemistry is the coordinator for the club now. Mr. N. Senthilkumar, Assistant Professor / Chemistry and Mr. S. Dhamodharan, Assistant Professor/ ECE were the faculty coordinators for the club. There were 150 students from various departments enrolled themselves as the members of the club. The club was inaugurated jointly by the Campus Director Dr. R. Chandran and then Principal Dr. R. Palanichamy on 11th October 2014

ACTIVITIES

DENGUE AWARENESS:
A Dengue awareness programme was conducted on 16th July 2016 at lingavadi, Dindigul district. 52 students and 4 faculty members were participated in the event.
PLANTATION AT KANNAKAMPATTI:
A tree plantation programme was conducted on 8th October 2016 at kannakampatti. 45 students and 6 faculty members participated in this event 50 saplings were planted at kannakampatti by the members of humane league with the support of the peoples of the village on 08.10.2017. 38 students and 7 faculty members involved in this activity.
wOMEN HEALTH AWARENESS:
An awareness programme to the women was conducted on 20.02.2017 at silvarpatti near muthanampatti, there were 50 students and three faculty members participated.
PLANTATION AT LINGAVADI:
A tree plantation programme was conducted at lingavadi, Dindigul district on 16.07.17. Planted 75 saplings in the premises of government school, primary health centre etc. 45 students and 4 faculty members participated.
SEEDING THE VISIONARY"S DREAM:
Former president of India Dr. APJ. Abdul Kalam’s Second memorial day was observed as seeding the visionary dream on 27.07.2017 and 75 saplings were planted in the campus. 80 students and 10 faculty members participated in this event.
HOME FOR SHELTERLESS PEOPLE:
Humane league extended its help for helpless people accommodated in the shelter for Homeless located at Nagal Nagar, Dindigul on 30.07.2017. 50 students and 10 faculty members participated.
MOTIVATIONAL EVENT AT ANBARASI HOME DINDIGUL:
On 30th July, 2017, humane league extended its support to the children residing in Anbarasi home, Dindigul..We conducted various competitions to the students residing at the home to enhance the talents.
OZONE DAY 2K17:
International ozone day was celebrated and there were 200 school students and 150 college students from various institutions participated on 16.09.2017. Dr. V. Naganathan I.F.S., conservator of forest, Dindigul circle was the chief guest of the function. Various competitions were conducted for the school and college students and the winners were awarded by the team members of Dindi-Ma-Vanam.
DENGUE ERADICATION:
Nilavembu Kudineer was offered to the students and faculty members on 10, 11, and 12.10.2017 in the campus to prevent from Dengue fever.
A DAY AT SRI DURGA HOME,VIRUPATCHI:
Daily needs like soap, detergents and medicine were offered to the children staying at Sri Durga Home, Virupatchi on 24.12.17. We also provided 5 numbers of desk and writing materials to them. 40 students and 8 faculty members involved in this actitivity.
A DAY AT R.C. KARUNAI ILLAM:
A water treatment plant (Reverse Osmosis unit- 25LPH) was donated to R.C. Karunai Illam, Mullipadi on 04.03.2018. 10 faculty members and 40 students were involved in this event. The members of humane league conducted various competitions to the students residing at the home. All the students were honoured by presenting prizes to them.
AWARENESS CAMP AT KONOOR:
We conducted awareness in plastics to the students of government higher secondary school at konoor.
OZONE DAY 2K18:
International ozone day was celebrated and there were 200 school students and 150 college students from various institutions participated on 16.09.2018. Dr. S. Dinakaran,prof. in zoology madhura college madurai was the chief guest of the function. Various competitions were conducted for the school and college students and the winners were awarded by the team members of Dindi-Ma-Vanam.
A DAY AT AWAKE MERCY HOME, MANIYAKALAMPATTY:
Members of human league offered stationery materials to the children residing at awake mercy home k.maniyakalampatty on 10.03.19
OZONE DAY 2K19:
International ozone day was celebrated on 16.09.2019, there were 250 college students from various institutions in Dindigul, Karur, Madurai, Trichy, Coimbatore and Sivagangai districts participated. Dr. K. Ravichandran,Regional Coordinator, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Gandhigram Rural Institute, Dindigul was the chief guest of the function. Various competitions were conducted for the students and the winners were awarded by the Campus Director Dr. R.Chandran.
A DAY AT SRI DURGA HOME:
Our team members visited sri durga home located at virupatchi on 16.02.20. The members interacted with the inmates of the home and entertained them. Also donated stationery materials to the kids staying at the home
AWARENESS PROGRAMME:
An awareness programme about hygiene and sanitation to the students studying in classes 9 to 12 of Government Higher Secondary School, K. Pudukottai conducted by our team Members.
